Wyoming Business Coalition on Health
WYOMING BUSINESS COALITION ON HEALTH
The Wyoming Business Coalition on Health (WyBCH), challenges employers to see themselves as influential leaders in the redesign of healthcare delivery.
We pay for it. Collectively employers are the largest purchaser of healthcare services. By organizing and consolidating our influence through this 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization we are transforming healthcare in Wyoming and the region.
We strive for better health, better healthcare and reasonable costs.
The Value of a Coalition
I am involved with the Coalition because managing health care expenses are consistently a challenge for business owners across the nation and especially in Wyoming. I believe we can make change happen together, with local providers, and create an environment that helps Wyoming balance its independence while having local access to affordable health care. My motto is, “If you want change, you must affect change.”

It is a huge frustration to me that not only are health care costs skyrocketing across the nation, but our state leads in the highest health care costs in the nation. There is no accountability in health care billing vs quality of care. As a business we would not tolerate any of our vendors to continually raise prices and not provide us with the best quality outcome. However, we do this with the health care industry and just shake our head and accept it. Our solution until now has been to raise employee’s premium, raise their deductible or lower the coverage percentage
Now we have a tool that says this is what X provider charges for this procedure and this is how their facility/provider rates on the quality of their patient care. Let’s use this information to improve patient care and allow consumers to make informed decisions.

As a small business owner, I joined the WYBCH to try to affect the cost of health care and insurance that I pay out to my employees. I have gotten an education in the health care business and I still hope to affect the uncontrolled fast rising costs of health care that 71 Construction pays.
