One key component of the Affordable Care Act — to enroll citizens with pre-existing health conditions — enjoys support from both of Wyoming's Republican U.S. senators. But it hasn't been embraced by state-level elected officials, possibly contributing to difficulties for citizens who qualify. In "Are you uninsured and uninsurable?" WyoFile contributor Emilene Ostlind reports that Wyoming's decision to not take on implementation of the Pre-existing Condition Insurance Plan could limit its effectiveness in Wyoming.
